Army Maj. Patricia S. Collins has graduated from the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College at Fort Leavenworth, Leavenworth, Kan. Collins will be assigned to Fort Bragg, Fayetteville, N.C. Her husband, David, is the son of William and Judith Collins of Thousand Oaks.

Air National Guard Airman Hilary L. Porter has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas and earned college credits through the Community College of the Air Force. Porter is the daughter of May Porter of Thousand Oaks and a 2005 graduate of Louisville High School in Woodland Hills.

Civilian Adam S. Lotspike participated in the U.S. Naval Academy’s week-long summer seminar program in Annapolis, Md. He currently attends Westlake High School and is the son of Cindy and George Lotspike of Thousand Oaks.

Navy Fireman Apprentice Casey C. Braden has completed U.S. Navy basic training and was meritoriously promoted to his current rank at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill. Braden is a 2001 graduate of Westlake High School.

Navy Seaman Michael W. Brennan completed U.S. Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill. He is the son of Kathleen and Michael Brennan of Westlake Village.

Air Force Airman Jeimmy P. Rivas has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. She also earned credits toward an associate degree through the Community College of the Air Force. Rivas is the daughter of Vilma Rivas of Thousand Oaks and a 2004 graduate of Westlake High School.

Marine Corps Cpl. Michael Soto was recently promoted to his current rank while serving with Marine Wing Support Squadron 374, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing of Twentynine Palms. He is a 2002 graduate of Westlake High School and son of Margarita Soto of Thousand Oaks.
