Parenting seminar on boys planned

The Thousand Oaks Teen Center, in cooperation with Capri Public Relations, is offering a parenting workshop featuring national expert on adolescent males Mitch DeArmon from Leadership Works. The workshop will be held from 6 to 10 p.m. Tues., Sept. 13 at the center, 1375 E. Janss Road, Thousand Oaks.

The workshop fee is $10.

DeArmon will describe parenting strategies that work even when a boy is less than receptive. Topics will include discipline and behavior issues at home and school, drugs and alcohol use, gang involvement and more.

DeArmon’s workbook “Tips for Parents of Teen Boys” will be available at the workshop for $20.
