Gypsies in a Trunk to present ‘The Shoemaker and the Elves’

Gypsies in a Trunk will end its 11th season of free Fairy Tales in the Park with “The Shoemaker and the Elves,” a play written by local children’s author Chris Carnicelli about some odd elves who help out a poor shoemaker and his wife.

Performances will be presented at 10:30 a.m. Sat., Sept. 3 at Foxfield Park in Westlake Village and at 4 p.m. the same day at the Rancho Simi Bicentennial Amphitheatre in Rancho Simi Community Park, Simi Valley.

Guests may bring picnic lunches and lawn chairs or blankets for lawn seating. Please leave pets at home. Donations will be accepted during the intermission.

The show is directed by Carnicelli and cast members include Hayley Cariker, Carnicelli, John Logue, Pat Newbert and William Wilson. Erin Cariker and Kathi Janica Gravino are understudies.
