Students bring Jewish resources to T.O

More than 375 senior Chabad rabbinical students will be on outreach missions

Levi Kessler and Mannis Frankel Levi Kessler and Mannis Frankel Two students from the Rabbinical Academy in Chicago, Ill., Mannis Frankel and Levi Kessler, both 21, will spend time away from their studies to meet the Jews of Thousand Oaks on the streets, in their homes and workplaces and at shopping centers.

The students are equipped with a mobile Judaica store stocked with Jewish books, tapes, videos, religious articles and information and brochures on all aspects of Jewish life.

“They will be the ultimate on-the-spot one-stop Jewish resource center,” said Rabbi Chaim Bryski, director of the Chabad Jewish Center of T.O.

Frankel and Kessler will also direct “Kosher Week” booths at Vons, Albertsons and Whole Foods Market to teach about the kosher spiritual diet.

More than 375 senior Chabad rabbinical students will be on Jewish outreach missions throughout the world.

Frankel is from Los Angeles and Kessler is a native of Montreal, Canada.
