Urban development manager to speak in Westlake Village The Women’s Council of the Building Industry Association of Southern California will host its annual fall luncheon from11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Wed., Sept. 21 at The Westlake Inn in Westlake Village. The guest speaker will be Ann Daigle, manager of urban development for the city of Ventura, discussing her vision for future building growth, zoning and planning issues in Ventura County. The luncheon will cost $40 for BIA and Women’s Council members and $45 for nonmembers. Participants can pay at the door if a reservation is received. Seating is limited and early reservations are encouraged. Daigle has an educational background in architecture and interior design. She previously worked as planning director for both Vicksburg, Miss. and her hometown, Monroe, La. Daigle is a principal with PaceMakers, LLC, an urban design and planning firm based in Miami, Fla. At this meeting, the council will also nominate the incoming board of directors and committee chairs.
