Renowned violinist to perform in T.O.

World-renowned violinist Pinchas Zukerman will perform with the New West Symphony 8 p.m. Sat., Sept. 17 at the Countrywide Performing Arts Center at the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza, 2100 Thousand Oaks Blvd., Thousand Oaks. Zukerman will play Mozart’s Concerto No. 5 in A Major for violin and orchestra, K. 219, “Turkish.” Zukerman’s wife, cellist Amanda Forsyth, will join him for Brahms’ Concerto in A Minor for violin, cello and orchestra, Opus 102, “Double Concerto.”   Waltzes from Der Rosenkavalier, Opus 59 by Richard Strauss will open the program.

The New West Symphony is conducted by Boris Brott.
