Nonprofit raises $115,000 for T.O. seniors Senior Concern’s 20th annual fundraising extravaganza, “The Ultimate Dining Experience,” held recently at the Hyatt Westlake Plaza, netted record proceeds of more than $115,000. The funds will help the nonprofit social service agency provide services to frail elderly and specialneeds seniors and their caregivers in Ventura and western Los Angeles counties. “We offer profound thanks for the outstanding generosity of individual contributors, businesses and civic organizations who bought more than 400 tickets, provided silent and live auction items for bid and gave much of their time and money to help us fund Senior Concerns’ critically important programs for the area’s aging residents,” said Pat Paulucci, board member and event chairperson. Major sponsors of the event included PTS Home and Office Furniture, Hogan Insurance, Richland Communities Inc., Ambassador R. Nesen and Virginia Crandall, Catlin Family Foundation, Century 21 America, Corporate Images, First California Band, Kaiser Permanente, Santa Barbara Bank and Trust, Silver Star Automotive Group, Wells Fargo Home Mortgage, Young Realtors, Ventura County Star, Gelson’s Markets, Hyatt Westlake Plaza Hotel, NBS Financial Services and Weiser Litho. Senior Concerns President Sandra Bishop also expressed thanks that this year’s event netted proceeds far in excess of the previous record of $85,400.
