Conejo Valley Adult Education has announced the availability of Pell Grant Funding for vocational training offered at the Professional Development Center in Thousand Oaks.

Pell Grants are federal funds that don’t require repayment.

Recipients must be 18 or older to qualify and must not have previously completed a four-year degree.

The amount of funding varies for each student and is based on family income and number of dependents. The maximum grant is $4,050 per person and can be applied to most programs offered at the adult school.

Due to the availability of federal funds, the center has recently reduced the fee for its medical assistant program by 30 percent.
