CLU alum leads Shakespearean camp

Kristine Ritterbush, a native of Thousand Oaks and 2004 graduate of Cal Lutheran University in Thousand Oaks, has returned to her alma mater this summer to lead a staff of professional actors at “Camp Shakespeare.” The workshops feature beginning and advanced levels of instruction in the acting and production side of Shakespearean theater. The annual Camp Shakespeare is held in conjunction with the Kingsmen Shakespeare Festival.

Returning from a year-long tour with the Missoula Children’s Theatre, Ritterbush—who earned a degree in theater arts and sociology from CLU—is a former apprentice with the Kingsmen Shakespeare Company, the acting troupe that performs at CLU during the summer. She recently received an award for her performance in “Hay Fever” at the American College Theatre Festival in Utah.
