School board yielded to special interests

What is the purpose of having a locally elected school board? Obviously, to four of the five sitting members of the Conejo Valley Unified School Board, it has little or nothing to do with representing the wishes of the local community. With the exception of Mike Dunn, our local school board appears to be getting its marching orders from special interests elsewhere.

Perhaps it’s time to remove those board members beholden to special interests and replace them with folks who honestly represent their constituency. Dirk A. DeKreek Thousand Oaks
