DMV should crack down on cheating during exams

Yesterday while taking a written driver’s test at the DMV in Thousand Oaks, I noticed a woman sitting down taking a test and chatting at the same time, vigorously erasing her answers. I took a closer look to see why she was continuously talking, and then noticed that she was using a wireless earpiece from her cellphone.

I brought this to the attention of a woman behind the DMV counter and asked if they gave tests in audio, and she said “no.” I told her that a woman taking her driver’s test was cheating while speaking in Spanish to someone who was giving her the answers.

The DMV worker went over and took the test away from the woman who was cheating.

I believe this should be known throughout the U.S.—how people are cheating to get their license.

I hope that the DMV will hire security guards so that this problem doesn’t continue.

It needs to stop. J. L. Armel Agoura Hills
