A pair of cousins, both winners

LET’S PLAY BALL—Courtney Birkett, 10U Newbury Park All-Star pitcher, and her cousin, Hannah Holmes, 10U Northridge All-Star catcher, are headed to San Antonio, Texas. During the July Fourth state tournament in Lancaster, Calif., both girls’ teams qualified for the ASA National Softball Tournament during the first week of August. At the same time, Courtney’s older sister, Kaitlynne, will play for the Camarillo Scorpions in the 14U National Tournament in Owensboro, Ky.
