Daniel Chamberlain Daniel Scott Chamberlain, 18, the son of Gary and Florence Chamberlain of Thousand Oaks, received his Eagle Scout award in a court of honor ceremony on June 4 at Bethany Baptist Church in Thousand Oaks. His father also earned Scouting’s highest honor.

Daniel is a member of Boy Scout Troop 753, sponsored by the Knights of Columbus of the St. Julie Billiart Catholic Church in Newbury Park.

He completed 24 merit badges, participated in more than 130 hours of community service and held leadership positions in

For his Eagle project, Daniel led a crew of 17 Scouts and adults in building two bookcases and a storage unit for the classroom of Liz Horan, a teacher at Billy Mitchell Elementary School in Lawndale. The Scouts put in 140 man-hours on the project.

A 2005 graduate of Thousand Oaks High School, Daniel plans to attend Moorpark College in the fall and later transfer to Biola University. He plans on a career in worship ministry.
