BUSHY-TAILED ENVIRONMENTALIST—Jean and Kenneth

Thompson of T.O. sent this Squirrel of the Month photo. Last

fall after Halloween, their large pumpkin attracted a squirrel,

which began eating it. The pumpkin got smaller and smaller

and eventually began to rot. The Thompsons placed it in the

extreme back portion of their half-acre yard, where, between

the squirrel and Mother Nature, the pumpkin literally

disappeared. So, as you can see, squirrels are ecologists

who believe in recycling. Don’t wait for Halloween; send your
