Jewish War Veterans present scholarships

The Bernard I. Becker Post 123 Jewish War Veterans of the U.S.A. of Conejo Valley presented its ninth annual post scholarship awards of $500 each to Susan Duan of Thousand Oaks High School, Minyi Guyan of Westlake High School and Elissa Green of Newbury Park High School during the students’ senior awards nights.

These awards are presented to students, regardless of race, religion or color, based on good grades, school participation activities and civic duties.

The funds for these awards are donated annually to the post by Maj. Francis Becker, who attended the presentations at Thousand Oaks and Westlake high schools.
