QUICK RESPONSE—At 11:45 a.m. yesterday a truck caught fire on the southbound 101 Freeway west of Hampshire Road. It then ignited a brushfire. Ten engines and 120 firefighters went into action to douse the flames. About 10 acres were scorched, according to fire department officials. The blaze serves as a warning about the dangers of fireworks and the Fourth of July on Monday.
