Family exercise classes and activities offered

The Stroller Strides class is an hour-long, power-walking workout for parents pushing a baby in a stroller. Children who are old enough can participate with their parents by riding a bike or scooter or by walking.

Classes will meet at 6 p.m. Wednesdays at Forrest Cove Park in Agoura Hills. Other classes meet on Mondays and Fridays in Oak Park, and Tuesdays and Thursdays in Thousand Oaks.

“We are doing this special class during the warm summer nights so that moms and dads can spend time working out together with their child or children. . . . Exercise as a lifestyle is an exceptional way for parents to be role models,” said Kristina Millar, local provider and instructor of Stroller Strides in the Conejo Valley.

Stroller Strides also offers free playgroups open to the community, moms night out, coffee at the Beanscene after Friday’s class and trips to the Mann Stroller Matinee together at the Janss Marketplace. An optional potlock picnic at the park will be offered after the Summer Sunset Family Class.
