Church to host patriotic concert

Christian Church of the Hills will present a patriotic Concert in the Park to honor God and country during the 11 a.m. outdoor service Sun., June 26 in Chumash Park, Agoura Hills.

Los Angeles County Supervisor Zev Yaroslavsky and Pastor Rex Wolins will speak and the CCH choir will perform patriotic music. Members of the armed forces, firemen and sheriff’s deputies will be special guests.

Residents may bring items to the concert for “Operation Gratitude” to help support the troops in Iraq. Acceptable items include DVDs, CDs, prepaid calling cards, disposable cameras, hand-held games, commercially wrapped individual packets of trail mix, beef jerky, energy bars, and packets of powered hot and cold beverages. Gifts received at the church by July 5 will also be delivered.

Following the program, a barbecue lunch will be available for a nominal fee.
