Building industry group names CEO

The Greater Los Angeles/ Ventura Chapter of the Building Industry of America recently announced the selection of Holly Schroeder as chief executive officer. With a background in legislative and budgetary issues, Schroeder will oversee the dayto-day operations for the chapter, including long-range planning, member services, community partnerships and communications outreach.

Schroeder came to Building Industry from the Oregon Department of Environmental Quality, where she was responsible for managing the agency’s Water Quality Division, overseeing the protection of Oregon’s surface and ground waters.   Schroeder is focused on building and expanding on the chapter’s public affairs efforts and developing new outreach opportunities to further increase Building Industry’s recognition and influence within the industry.

Schroeder has a bachelor’s degree in chemistry and French from St. Olaf College in Minnesota and a master’s degree in applied information management from the University of Oregon.
