Book sale to feature special items
The Friends of the Thousand Oaks Library will sponsor a used book sale from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Fri., July 8 and from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sat., July 9 at the Newbury Park Branch Library, 2331 Borchard Road, Newbury Park.
The sale will feature more than 10,000 books, ranging in price from 25 cents for children’s books to $1 for hardbacks. There will be specially priced collectors’ books including an unopened copy of the book “Sex,” the French edition by Madonna, still in its original wrapper. Hundreds of DVDs, VHS tapes and CDs will be available, including all five seasons of the award-winning science fiction television series “Babylon 5” on VHS tapes.
Book donations are accepted throughout the year, and used books are on sale daily, at both the Thousand Oaks Library, and the Newbury Park Branch Library.
