Life will be a cabaret at Bogie’s Nightclub

For four consecutive Thursday nights beginning June 30, Westlake Village Inn’s Bogey’s Nightclub will transform into a cabaret nightclub setting with the premiere of Westlake resident, singer-songwriter Danny Sullivan and his cabaret nightclub series, “Encore.” The venue at 31943 Agoura Road in Westlake Village will feature the contemporary recording artist from 9 to 11 p.m. Thursdays through July 21.

Sullivan will present a two-hour sentimental journey through the classic pop standards of the ’30s and ’40s to today’s contemporary cabaret, musical theatre, jazz standards, ballads and pop music. His repertoire will feature music from Harold Arlen, Cole Porter, George and Ira Gershwin, Irving Berlin, Henry Mancini, Johnny Mercer, Al Jarreau, Billy Joel, Carly Simon, Rod Stewart, Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett and others.

A native of Rhode Island, Sullivan’s singing career spans more than 30 years with engagements for Southern California motivational church circuits; traveling worldwide on Silver Seas cruise line; cabaret acts for the Hollywood Cinegrill, Moonlight Café in Gardena, Rocco’s of Los Angeles and various other locales.

Accompanists are David Black on piano and Bruce Lett on bass.

With them Sullivan will create an ambiance of the high society cabaret nightclub fare. Black’s experience is in arranging, composing, accompanying and conducting for more than 40 years with top performers in television, motion pictures, tours and stage. Lett has accompanied Nancy Wilson, Bob Hope, Herb Alpert, Jamie Foxx, Suzanne Somers and has worked with Quincy Jones and music mogul David Foster.

The cover charge is $15 per person. For more information, please call Westlake Village Inn at (818) 889-0230.
