Assemblywoman supports governor’s budget
State Assemblywoman Audra Strickland (R-Thousand Oaks) has voiced support for Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger’s revised budget proposal.
In a press release issued last Friday, Strickland said, "Gov. Schwarzenegger’s budget fulfills his promise to always act in the people’s best interest. This budget invests in California’s dilapidated transportation infrastructure, protects hardworking families from tax increases, and helps restore economic prosperity to California.
"With this budget, Gov. Schwarzenegger becomes the first governor in our state’s history to fully fund Proposition 42 and California’s transportation needs," Strickland said. "Under the governor’s proposal, Californians will finally see an investment in our tattered highway infrastructure."
Strickland also praised the budget proposal for avoiding any tax increases.
