Bestselling author Michael Konik along with his dog, Ella—the subject of his most recent book, "Ella in Europe: An American Dog’s International Adventures,"—will be special guests at the annual meeting of the Friends of the Thousand Oaks Library at 7 p.m. Wed., May 18 at the Newbury Park Branch Library, 2331 Borchard Road, Newbury Park.

Konik will discuss his book. Based in Los Angeles, Konik is the West Coast editor and golf columnist for Delta Airlines’ Sky Magazine. He has written for Sports Illustrated, Travel & Leisure, the New York Times and the Los Angeles Times.

Among his other books is "Nice Shot, Mr. Nicklaus: Stories about the Game of Golf."
