Local artists’ creations to be featured in ArtWalk

The organizers of ArtWalk ’05, an arts festival to be presented from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sat. and Sun., June 4 and 5 in The Oaks shopping center’s east parking lot, have announced a lineup of local talent who will be exhibiting their work at the event.

Among the artists are the following.

Simi Valley: Judy Koenig and Pong Apinyavat (watercolors).

Moorpark: Tesi Sanchez-Halpert (whimsical metal sculptures).

Westlake Village: Ron McKee and Bruce Hamilton (oil paintings).

Newbury Park: Max Becker (jewelry), Alice Morris (drawing and graphics).

Thousand Oaks: Iris Carignan (drawing and graphics), Carolyn Counnas (mixed media, Robert Williams and Dina Farris Appel (oil paintings).

The 18th annual ArtWalk is a benefit for the Conejo Valley Art Museum. More than 170 artists from across the U.S. will exhibit their work. Admission is free.

Also featured at the event will be a children’s hands-on art booth, live entertainment, and food and beverages available for purchase.
