Famous author to be discussed at CLU
Niels Christian Larsen, a Danish scholar, will offer "A Danish View of Hans-Christian Andersen" at 7:30 p.m. Fri., May 6 in the Nelson Room at California Lutheran University, 60 W. Olsen Road, Thousand Oaks.
Among the topics Larsen will explore are: Who was the person who created the 168 fairytales including "The Ugly Duckling," "The Emperor’s New Suit," "The Little Match Girl" and "The Nightingale"? How has the work of Hans-Christian Andersen contributed to the Danish culture?
This is an opportunity to gain insight into the person behind the well-known fairytales and to learn about the life of Hans-Christian Andersen.
Larsen was born in Copenhagen and has lived in Denmark most of his life. The stories of Hans-Christian Andersen were part of his childhood years. Currently, Larsen is an international MBA student at CLU.
