School to host fundraiser at Reagan Library tomorrow night

Hillcrest Christian School in Thousand Oaks will host a fundraising event, "A Night to Shine," beginning at 5:30 p.m. Fri., April 22 at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and Museum, 40 Presidential Drive, Simi Valley.

Private docent tours will be offered from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. A silent auction will be conducted from 6 to 7:30 p.m., during which time hors d’oeuvres will be served. Following dinner at 8 p.m. will be a live auction emceed by comedian Robert G. Lee.

Guest speaker John MacArthur will discuss the value of a Christian education. MacArthur is a pastor, bestselling author, speaker and teacher on "Grace to You," a worldwide radio ministry. He’s the founder of the Master’s College in Santa Clarita and is pastor of Grace Community Church.

Singer Kory Welch will entertain.

The school was established in 1977 as a private nondenominational Christian school serving preschool through 12th grade. Proceeds from the event will support the educational development and future growth of the school. A percentage of the proceeds will go toward building a gymnasium for the school.
