Annual Cook’s Tour coming to Malibu

Malibu United Methodist Nursery School will host its annual "Cook’s Tour" fundraiser from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sat., May 7 beginning at the school, 30128 Morningview Drive, Malibu. A donation of $55 is requested.

The event includes a self-guided tour through four homes in Malibu, an ice cream bar, food tasting from local restaurants and caterers, and all-occasion gift baskets for sale.

One of the homes this year has been recently remodeled from a dark ranch-style house to a Cape Cod home with a modern twist. The remodeling idea started with the desire to have two dishwashers to help keep a kosher kitchen.

  The proceeds will provide scholarships for children whose families cannot afford preschool. It also pays for school equipment.
