The Westlake Village Art Guild will host Victor Martinez, a watercolor artist from Peru, on Tues., May 3 at the Clarion Palm Garden Hotel, 495 Ventu Park Road, Newbury Park. Social hour and registration begins at 6 p.m., followed by dinner at 6:30 p.m. and the demonstration at 7:30 p.m. The cost for dinner and demonstration is $23 for members and $28 for guests. Attending the demonstration only costs $5 for members and $7 for guests. Reservations are required one week in advance.

Martinez is noted for his portraits of Andean characters, landscapes and seascapes. His paintings have been exhibited in museums throughout Europe and North and South America. He is the recipient of numerous awards. Martinez will create a watercolor portrait during his demonstration. The portrait will be donated to a member of the audience.
