Elder abuse topic of free program coming May 4 to Oxnard
The California Attorney General’s Office and Ventura County Human Services Agency, Adult Protective Services will sponsor a community forum for seniors, caregivers and families on elder abuse prevention. The "Senior Crime Alert Community Forum: Stop Fraud, Scams and Abuse against Elders and Dependent Adults" forum will be from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Wed., May 4 at South Oxnard Senior Center, 200 E. Bard Road, Oxnard.
Financial abuse experts, local law enforcement and other organizations will be on hand to discuss and answer questions about how to recognize and prevent elder and dependent adult abuse.
