CVD kids’ parade is Saturday

Children from throughout Conejo Valley can march in their very own parade during the 49th annual Conejo Valley Days Children’s Parade at 10 a.m. Sat., April 23 at Conejo Creek Park North (just east of the 23 Freeway at the Janss Road exit). The public is invited.

  The parade will feature children in costume, decorated bikes, wagons and mini "floats." Sponsored by the Conejo Valley Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star, this annual event allows children 12 and younger to enjoy the excitement and thrill of participating in a parade.

"It’s a wonderful day for kids and parents," said Victoria Brown, CVD Children’s Parade co-chair. "It gives kids a chance to be creative."

Awards will be given in five categories: individual entry, small group (nine or less), large group (10 or more), civic group (e.g., Girl Scouts, sports teams) and equestrian (decorated scooters, wagons, bicycles). Refreshments will be served while the judges tally votes.
