Tutoring volunteers needed

The Conejo Valley Adult School Literacy Program will offer a two-session literacy tutor workshop from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesdays, April 20 and 27 in Room C of the Conejo Valley Adult School, 1025 Old Farm Road, Thousand Oaks. There’s no charge for the training.

This workshop will prepare volunteers to tutor adults in basic literacy skills. Volunteers don’t need a teaching background but must attend both sessions.

After completing the training, each volunteer will commit a minimum of two hours per week, days or evenings, to tutor an adult student in the school’s Literacy Center.
