Army National Guard Spec. George A. Mitchell Jr. participated in Iraqi missions at a forward-deployed operating location overseas. He is the son of Rickard and Joyotta Kennedy of Thousand Oaks and a 1986 graduate of Thousand Oaks High School.
Army Sgt. Stuart A. Cox has returned to Mannheim, Germany after a deployment to Kuwait and Iraq. He is regularly assigned to the 72nd Signal Battalion and has been decorated with the Army Commendation Medal.
He is the son of Diana and Robert Cox of Westlake Village and a 1998 graduate of Conejo Valley High School, Thousand Oaks.
Air Force Capt. Brett D. Brimhall won first prize for quality cataract surgery in a nation-wide contest sponsored by the American College of Eye Surgeons.
He is an ophthalmology resident/flight surgeon assigned to the 59th Medical Wing, Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.
Brimhall is the son of Grant and Avis Brimhall of Thousand Oaks and a 1986 graduate of Newbury Park High School.
