Last chance for Girl Scout cookies

The Girl Scout Council of Tres Condados, serving more than 10,000 members throughout Ventura, Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo counties, has announced the launch of the "Last Chance Girl Scout Cookie Sale" via online and toll-free phone ordering.

The sale, which lasts until midnight Fri., April 15, gives Girl Scout cookie fans the opportunity to buy boxes of Thin Mints, Peanut Butter Patties and Shortbread cookies, as well as two varieties that will not be offered next year: Animal Treasures (shortbread dipped in fudge) and Iced Berry Piñatas (cookies topped with strawberry jam).

Cynder Sinclair, CEO of the Girl Scout Council of Tres Condados said, "As we near the end of our cookie sale season (January through March each year) we want to offer the community an opportunity to stock up on their favorites, since the cookies freeze really well. It’ll be 12 long months until Girl Scout cookies are available again (deliveries and booth sales only happen in March). The ‘Last Chance Cookie Sale’ is a great way to keep that sweet tooth fed for a few months longer."

People can order their favorite Girl Scout cookies online at www.gstc.org or via the council’s toll-free "Cookie Order Hotline" at (888) 824-7747, ext. 410. All orders will be credited to and delivered by a local Girl Scout troop, assuring that the proceeds are handled the same way the in-person sales monies are.
