Cadet Peter G. Zink, son of Donald and Haf Zink of Thousand Oaks, was named to the dean’s list at the U.S. Military Academy. To qualify for the dean’s list, a cadet must maintain a 3.0 grade point average.

Zink graduated from Westlake High School in 2003. He plans to graduate from West Point in 2007 and be commissioned as a second lieutenant in the U.S. Army.

U.S. Rep. Elton Gallegly (R-Simi Valley) appointed Zink to the academy.
