Cal Lutheran choir to present concerts on campus, at church
The California Lutheran University Choir, directed by Dr. Wyant Morton, will present a "home" concert at 8 p.m. Tues., March 29 in Samuelson Chapel on the CLU campus at 60 W. Olsen Road, Thousand Oaks.
A varied program of contemporary music will feature "Gloria Patri" by Urmas Sisask (Estonia), "Kasar Mie La Gaji" by Alberton Grau (Venezuela), "Native American Ambiances" by Jackson Berkey (U.S.), and "Due North" by Stephen Chatman (Canada).
The CLU Choir will also perform this program at 4 p.m. Sun., April 3 at Ascension Lutheran Church, 1600 E. Hillcrest Drive, Thousand Oaks.
Admission to the March 29 concert is free. However, a freewill offering will be received at both concerts for the Ascension Lutheran Church Organ Completion Fund.
The church is selling advance donation tickets for the April 3 concert at a cost of $15 for adult, $10 for students/children. For advance donation information, call (805) 495-0406.
