Finishes first

DAVE DUVARNEY/Acorn Newspapers FAST TIME-Newbury Park's Melissa Mcbain is all smiles after winning the women's 10K (finishing eighth overall) in the Great Race of Agoura. Overcast skies didn't deter the thousands of participants in last weekend's event. Spring arrived on Sunday but showers persist, and Tuesday's rainfall set a new record for Los Angeles. Another sign of spring is Easter, which is Sunday.
