Local mothers’ group to look at twin development milestones
Conejo Valley Mothers of Multiples will explore the topic "Are Your Twins Reaching Their Developmental Milestones?" at their 7:30 p.m. meeting Wed., April 6 (call for location). The meeting is geared towards mothers of twins age 5 and under.
Anne Baltzer, who is the service coordinator for the Early Start Program of the Tri-Counties Regional Center, will discuss eligibility for early childhood development intervention services.
Raye Lynne Lorenz, an infant specialist and speech pathologist for the Conejo Regional Infant Program, will discuss tools used to measure infant development. Under these programs, children may qualify for free speech therapy, occupational or physical therapy.
At the same time in a different room, Carrie Penix, a kindergarten teacher at Cypress Elementary School, will discuss "Kindergarten Readiness."
