People make the world go ’round, and in Conejo Valley/Las Virgenes, there are many folks who stand out.

Our community includes educators and actors, scientists and thinkers. There are small business owners, large business owners, CEOs and billionaires. Some are full-time volunteers—and others just work hard for a living.

We have brains and we have brawn, and we have dedicated and hard-working regular folks. Most of all, we have people who just plain care. On pages 14 and 15 you will find the people we’ve selected for our first-ever Acorn Top 25.

Local residents have much in common with other Southern Californians, but there’s one thing that sets us apart, at least according to our way of thinking. The residents here are neighbors in every sense of the word––good, decent people who are working toward a common goal: a better quality of life.

The selection process wasn’t easy. In reality, hundreds were qualified. You’re probably thinking of somebody right now who should have made the list. If so, send us a letter.
