Median proposals for Borchard Road under review
The Thousand Oaks Public Works Department staff is requesting citizens’ comments on preliminary median design options for Borchard Road.
Residents can review sketches of various roadway median safety design options for Borchard Road beginning about 150 feet west of Dos Vientos Drive and extending to the crest of the hill to the west and provide input on the project at a meeting scheduled for 7 to 9 p.m. Mon., April 4 at the Newbury Park Branch Library meeting toom, 2331 Borchard Road.
"The public improvements, if approved, will help give a finished look to the last phase of construction along the half-mile road section of Borchard Road leading into the Dos Vientos Ranch area of Newbury Park," said Public Works Director Don Nelson.
The current barrier system might be removed and replaced with a more attractive safety barrier that would be compatible with existing neighborhood landscaping features, according to city staff.
