K-Swiss goes solar

Westlake Village-based K-Swiss will switch over to a more environmentally proactive format when the largest solar electrical system in the Conejo Valley is installed by contractor Solar Electrical Systems of Westlake Village at K-Swiss headquarters.

The $1-million system will offset more than 40 percent of the K-Swiss current electrical load and provide clean, high-quality peak power resulting in a lower electrical bill, new white cool roof and 10 percent lower air conditioning bill.

It also provides a stronger and cleaner electrical power grid for K-Swiss’s neighbors, including the nearby Westlake Village City Hall and Library complex.
