Alzheimer’s Association to teach class for family caregivers
The Alzheimer’s Association will present a class recommended for family caregivers from noon to 1 p.m. Wed., March 2 at the county of Ventura Government Center, Hall of Administration, third floor, multipurpose room, 800 S. Victoria Ave., Ventura.
Sherril Bover, Alzheimer’s Association support group facilitator and parish administrator at Trinity Lutheran Church in Ventura, will address the challenges and stresses associated with being a caregiver. This session aims to "throw a lifeline" to caregivers by helping them stay calm in the midst of chaos, make good decisions in difficult situations, and distinguish real emergencies from "fake ones."
This class is free to the public. Preregistration is requested and can be made by calling Debbie Bergevin at (805) 652-7835.
