The Encino-Tarzana Charitable Hospital Foundation is offering nursing scholarships as part of its educational awards program.

Cash awards are made to nursing students to further their careers. In 2004, the foundation distributed more than $35,000 in scholarships.

Recipients must be enrolled in school; demonstrate good attendance, honesty and integrity; show initiative and dedication to exploring medical career opportunities; receive at least one recommendation from a teacher, department chair, supervisor or counselor; and complete the application form.
