At 10:39 p.m. Oct. 11 at Ralph’s grocery store in the 500 block of Ventu Park Road, a suspect with a handgun demanded cash from an employee and took an undetermined amount of cash. Police later arrested the suspect.

Between 6:30 p.m. Oct. 9 and 10:15 a.m. Oct. 10 in the 100 block of Heather Ridge Avenue, a $150 mailbox was stolen.

A window of a business was scratched up causing $200 in damages between 5 p.m. Oct. 9 and 7 a.m. Oct. 10 in the 1200 block of Lawrence Drive.

Between 10 a.m. Oct. 2 and 10 a.m. Oct. 7 at Longs Drug store in the 2100 block of Newbury Road, a thief stole developed film and a DVD player. The total loss was $159.64.

Thieves entered an unlocked house and stole a rifle, a DVD player and two speakers and set fire to a dishwasher outside of the house between 10 a.m. Oct. 2 and 11 a.m. Oct. 7 in the 300 block of S. Ventu Park Road. The total loss was $700.

Between Oct. 6 and Oct. 12, one incident of drug intoxication was reported.

Thousand Oaks

Between 2 and 3 p.m. Oct. 10 at Ritz Camera in the 400 block of W. Hillcrest Drive, a $1,400 laptop was stolen.

Police arrested someone for forgery and possession of stolen property at 9 p.m. Oct. 10 in the 400 block of N. Moorpark Road.

Between 4 p.m. Oct. 4 and 9:45 a.m. Oct. 9 at the Valley Book and Bible store in the 200 block of E. Thousand Oaks Boulevard, someone stole six potted plants from outside the business. The loss was $100.

Someone broke into a locked vehicle causing $350 between 8 p.m. Oct. 8 and 7:30 a.m. Oct. 9 in the 3500 block of Auto Mall Drive. Nothing was missing, according to the owner of the vehicle.

A suspect slashed a vehicle tire and caused $80 in damages between 7:46 and 8:20 p.m. Oct. 8 at Baja Fresh Mexican Grill in the 500 block N. Moorpark Road.

Between 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Oct. 8 in the 4300 block Erbes Road, the total loss was $10,425 when two laptop computers, a wedding ring and other miscellaneous items were stolen. The total cost of damages was $500.

Suspects destroyed a men’s restroom and caused $450 in damages between 11 a.m. Oct. 6 and 10 a.m. Oct. 7 at Waverly Park in the 1300 block of Avenue de Los Flores.

Between 6 p.m. Oct. 3 and 4:30 p.m. Oct. 6 at Glenwood School in the 1100 block of Windsor Drive, a suspect stole four VCRs. The equipment was valued at $600.

A thief entered a residence and stole electronic equipment that totaled $1,283between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. Oct. 6 in the 1400 block of Hillcrest Drive.

At 7:30 p.m. Oct. 6 at Ross Dress for Less in the 300 block of N. Moorpark Road, someone stole a backpack, a beanie, socks, a Nike hat and a toy that totaled $34.

A vandal scratched a vehicle and caused $2,000 in damages between 11 p.m. Oct. 5 and 7:30 a.m. Oct. 6 in the first block of Karen Place.

Between Oct. 6 and Oct. 12, the following incidents were reported: six incidents of possession of a controlled substance, one incident of driving under the influence, one incident of drug intoxication and one incident of public alcohol int-

oxication.

Westlake/T.O.

A thief broke into a vehicle causing $300 in damages and stole a purse that cost $50 between 9 and 11:15 a.m. Oct. 6 at a church in the 1000 block of S. Westlake Boulevard.

Someone attempted to enter a residence and caused $300 in damages between 8 a.m. Sept. 14 and 2 p.m. Oct. 6 in the 300 block of Via Colinas. Police said nothing of value was stolen.
