Thousand Oaks

At 7:35 p.m. Aug. 13 on Foothill Road, police arrested a person for growing marijuana in a recreational vehicle.

The total cost of damages was $150 when a garage door on the 100 block of Odebolt was broken into between 7 and 10:15 p.m. Aug. 13.

Between 8 p.m. Aug. 12 and 7 a.m. Aug. 13 in the 1900 block of McCrea Road, a suspect splashed paint on a driveway causing $50 in damages.

A vehicle tire was slashed between 11:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Aug. 12 on the 200 block of W. Hillcrest Drive, causing $58 in damages.

Between July 22 and Aug. 11, a person on Rolling Oaks Drive wrote a fictitious check for $6,000.

Between 6 p.m. Aug. 10 and 8 a.m. Aug. 11 in the 1600 block of Hauser Circle, four wheels and tires that totaled $6,000 were stolen off of a vehicle.

Cement bags and dead fish were thrown into a swimming pool between 3:30 p.m. Aug. 9 and 8:45 a.m. Aug. 11 at Thousand Oaks High School on the 2300 block of N. Moorpark Road. Police say $615 in damage was caused.

Between Aug. 11 and Aug. 15, two incidents of possession of a controlled substance were reported. There was also one incident of driving under the influence, one incident of a minor in possession of alcohol, and one incident of intoxication in apublic place.

Newbury Park

At 3:20 p.m. Aug. 13 in the 2400 block of W. Hillcrest Drive, police made several arrests for people fighting in public.

Between 5 p.m. Aug. 12 and 7 a.m. Aug. 13 at maple Elementary School in the 3500 block of Kimber Drive, the bulletin board was vandalized causing $245 in damages.

Police arrested a person for theft at 2 p.m. Aug. 11 in the 300 block of W. Hillcrest Drive.

Between 4:30 p.m. Aug. 10 and 7 p.m. Aug. 11 in a parking lot in the 600 block of Hampshire Road, an unknown substance was poured onto a vehicle causing $400 in damages.
