Choose the City Manager wisely

Use the language very carefully
     I was recently in Penney’s at the Oak Mall and I noticed a table of nicely embroidered shirts for mothers and grandmothers. Both shirts were Disney products: one shirt had Winnie the Pooh and another had Mickey Mouse on it.

Save the school
     As you know, preserving or finding a new use for Conejo High School has become an issue in Thousand Oaks. I hope the city council will decide to let the Ventura County Cultural Heritage Board investigate the options, rather than allowing the building to be razed without review.

Should have picked up the phone

Be good keepers of the land
     Through-traffic to Dos Vientos could have gone through Borchard Road, but Borchard was "too steep," so it was redirected. It could have gone through Kimber Road, but I guess it was "too noisy," so Kimber was cut off altogether.

     It’s sheer hypocrisy when liberals like Ellen Geer, whose family established Topanga’s Theatricum Botanicum, lament the boycotting of anti-war celebrities and tie it to McCarthyism.
