Car show is Sunday The Thousand Oaks-based Milestone Car Society (MCS) of California will present the 15th annual Thousand Oaks Father’s Day Car Classic from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Sun., June 15 in Kingsmen Park on the campus of California Lutheran University, 60 W. Olsen Road, Thousand Oaks. Theme for this year’s show is "Automotive Centenarian Corporations," a tribute to selected corporations building motor vehicles for 100 years or more. Ford Motor Company and Daimler Benz will be honored plus the event will celebrate the 50th birthday of Corvette and take a nostalgic look at the Tucker. Many 1930s-era classics as well as post-war era foreign, domestic and custom vehicles will be available for viewing. There will be 250 classic automobiles on display. Also featured will be a variety of vendors, food booths, music from the various eras, trophy presentations and interviews with various car collectors by a KNX broadcaster. The Conejo Valley Rotary assists MCS in coordinating the car show. This annual event raises funds for local charities, and this year MCS will donate its proceeds to Hospice of the Conejo and Gift of Life. Admission is $12 seniors/youth ages 11-17; $15 adults; $30 family; children under 10 admitted free with parent. A souvenir car show program is included in admission fees.
