Conejo Valley Art Museum is alive and well

We are delighted to let your readers know that we do indeed have an art museum here in Thousand Oaks.

Since 1978, such distinguished artists as Howard Brodie of San Francisco, David Rose of Los Angeles and Elizabeth Williams of New York have showcased their work here.

We present many high-quality shows every year and are currently presenting “The Evolution of Judith Von Euer,” who is renowned for her work with the Los Angeles Art Mural Project.

The Conejo Valley Art Museum offers fine art, modern art, abstracts, textiles and sculptures, and hosts a lovely gift shop as well.

Our location in Janss Marketplace has been a key spot for us. Many families strolling through Janss, heading for the movies or for a bite to eat, love that they can drop in and see some world-class art and chat about what a neat place the Conejo Valley is to live in.

The artists reception we host for each opening at the museum is free to the public and always a community success.

My own family has been part of the Conejo Valley for over 40 years. We have fabulous artists who reside here. Our citizens and guests enjoy the vibrant Conejo Players Theatre, Civic Arts Plaza and the many parks and trails we have, as well as greatly enjoying the Conejo Valley Art Museum.

Yes, we do have an art museum in Thousand Oaks: The Conejo Valley Art Museum.
