NPHS students earn kudos

Thirty students were inducted as members in the founding class of the Newbury Park High School Chapter of the National Honor Society on April 15. They were selected by a faculty council for meeting high standards of scholarship, service, leadership and character.

Those inducted were Daniel Ricky Alvarez, Kristin Bietch, Laura Brown, Kellye Carnahan, Santina Cooper, Christopher Dipsia, Nadia Dougherty, Brittany Dupuy, Cody Elliot, Roxi Estrada, Yvette Flores, Paul Frank, Steven Gabrielson, Tracy Horlick, Kanika Jain, Adam Jiang, Hanah Kim, Andy Knauer, Konrad Knusel, Tiffany Lane, Kari Lewis, Alexis Matthews, Peter McClintock, Scott Oatley, Mary-Jane Rice, Tiffany Sandoval, Mollie Schneider, Jessi von den Stemmen, Tammy Wu and Mark Zhu.
