‘La Traviata’ coming to Kavli Theatre

The Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza Foundation will present Opera Verdi Europa’s "La Traviata" at 8 p.m. Tues., April 26 in the Fred Kavli Theatre at the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza, 2100 E. Thousand Oaks Blvd.

An opera in four acts by Giuseppe Verdi, "La Traviata" will be sung in the original Italian language with English supertitles. Ivan Kyurkchiev is the artistic director of this company of 100, which includes singers, chorus and full symphony orchestra.

"La Traviata" tells a poignant story as themes of passion, revenge, deception and betrayal ensue when a courtesan becomes involved with her admirer.
