Lake Sherwood Design Showcase helps cause

The Wellness Community Valley/Ventura’s House for Hope Design Showcase ’05 in Lake Sherwood will open for public tours and corporate events.

The public may tour the home from April 21 through May 22. Viewing times are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursdays and Fridays and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. The cost is $25 per ticket.

Local businesses may hold corporate events on the gated grounds on Wednesday evenings from April 27 through May 19 for a tax-deductible donation of $5,000. Proceeds will benefit the Wellness Community’s programs for people fighting cancer. The rental includes a private tour of the home.

"It’s a win-win offer," said Suzanne Drace, president of the Wellness Community Valley/Ventura. "Local businesses can hold their events at a stunning location while supporting a cause that is near to everyone’s heart."

Twenty-four interior designers and decorators volunteered to finish interiors and furnish the new home’s 19 spaces. In addition, a landscape architect will design the grounds.
